Scheduling Documents for 2022-2023
GCHS Course Description Guide - in-depth guide to provide a description of each class offered for the 2022-23 school year, including any prerequisites needed to take a class. This guide has other useful information regarding pathways, dual credit, required testing and much more.
This spreadsheet shows which classes are offered each period. The sheet is tabbed at the bottom by grade level.

Early Graduation:
The early graduation pathway is for students in grades 9-11 who wish to move on when ready, receive a diploma from the district and be eligible for acceptance into Kentucky public colleges and universities. The pathway provides a financial scholarship, known as the Early Graduation Certificate, to support this action. Students participating in the pathway must meet the requirements:

Notify the school principal & counselor within the first 30 days of the school year in which they intend to graduate (9-11).

Enter the Early Graduation pathway prior to October 1 of the year in which they intend to graduate early.

Graduate in three years or less. Students exceeding three years do not qualify for the incentives identified with Early Graduation.

Take the ACT exam and meet the college readiness benchmarks

Take and score proficient on all required End-of-Course Assessments (EOCs).

KY Graduation Requirements-
Please note that Gallatin County High School requires 25 credits to graduate, which is higher than the state minimum listed.
KEES Scholarship Money
The KEES program provides scholarships to students who earn at least a 2.5 GPA each year high school. The better you do in high school, the more you earn toward college!

2022: Running List of Active Scholarships
GCHS Coop Guidelines and Forms for Seniors, 2022-2023: Any senior wishing to Coop during senior year must complete the application and be approved by GCHS.
NKU Online SBS Dual Credit Program: Admission Requirements for Juniors and Seniors:
- Have an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Have a composite ACT score of 20 or higher. If a student does not have an ACT Score, they may be admitted into the program with their GPA and a letter of recommendation; however, eligible courses will be limited.
JCTC On-Campus Early College Program: Admission Requirements for Juniors and Seniors:
- Have an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Have an ACT score of 18 in English, 20 in Reading and 19 in Math. If a student does not have an ACT Score, they make take placement assessments on JCTC's campus.
